The disappearing Suffolk HealthCare Branch mystery

Contrary to wilful or un-wilful misguided ignorance or even possible good old fashioned gross manipulation of information gathered, perceived or otherwise, this Branch's membership is in great shape and continues to grow steadily with new members joining daily. Just the other day, attention was drawn when it was implied in writing to the Branch Secretary by the major employer covered by this Branch, that UNISON members have simply "disappeared since the formation of County wide NHS Trusts". Now, many of us enjoy reading science fiction novels and realise fiction is just invention within the mind. So to help those who can't quite master the art of reality, we'll try to explain. People simply don't disappear into thin air without attracting world wide media attention. Got that? Good. So to help the individual/s understand reality and the simple arithmetic involved as the rest of the world perceive it, or 1+1= 2, please see the next simple paragraph below.

Suffolk HealthCare Branch is County wide with 1800+ members in total. Members are divided as follows: 1100 members within LHP NHS Trust. Other NHS PCT's within Suffolk (excluding Ipswich Hospitals NHS Trust) have around 500 members total and the remaining 200+ members work in GP surgeries or with private health employers. See here

It may be true this article is a tad sarcastic but the rubbish written to us was far beyond belief and truly worth a mention on merit alone, which brings us back to the originator of rubbish.
