UNISON, CSP and the RCN have
joined forces to oppose the £15 monthly levy to park your car at work and a
formal complaint on behalf of all three unions has now been sent to the PCT to
lodge our dispute. We
believe this is an unjust tax on staff forcing you to pay for past financial
mistakes. These mistakes are proving costly, especially for many lower paid
staff.
We also believe this waste of
public money scheme will not be cost effective and further demonstrate poor
business practice should a private company be contracted to police the car parks
on the PCT sites.
ACTION POINTS
You will be asked to give your consent to pay this parking charge.
We say don’t sign anything.
You may be told you will be wheel clamped if you don’t sign.
This action could be illegal if the correct signs are
not in place.
You may be part time, but still asked to pay the full amount of £15
We don't agree with this and advise you not to sign
anything.
You may be told you can’t park on PCT property if you don’t pay up.
Would the PCT be prepared to stop all staff bringing a
car to work?
We think not if all staff join in and fight against this unfair tax.
