On Thursday 28th July 2005, a public consultation on proposals to close down vital mental health services in Suffolk starts at St Clements hospital in Ipswich. Health chiefs are greeted by protesters who are against the cutbacks claiming these proposals will have a detrimental impact on service users and lead to possible job cuts.
