Most people would never dream the NHS or healthcare in the UK has a
problem with workplace bullying. After all, the doctors and nurses looking after
the sick and needy are far too busy to be caught up in needless playground
squabbles and nit picking. But alas, it's everywhere and nowhere. It's
everywhere because 1 in 30 is a bully. It's nowhere because many people are
literally too scared, depressed or damaged to come forward and complain. If your
a victim or know of problems at work and need to find a solution to stop a bully
causing you distress, contact us in total
confidence using our
secure form. Not only will you feel better sharing your burden, but we can
give you all the support you need to fight your bully. To do nothing is to give
into defeat and will result in becoming more disheartened, but together we can
stamp out occupational nuisances for good. See

Suffolk
HealthCare recently run a successful set of flyers depicting
children pulling faces as the workplace bully.
Many employees and members came forward to tell of the problems encountered each
day at work as a result of seeing these posters. Some were too afraid to do
anything more than tell a union rep with a promise not to pursue the problem.
However, many did officially complain and have subsequently put in grievances
against the bully which were dealt with accordingly. In other cases which
concerned
Philippine nurses working within the private health sectors who were
being treated appallingly by their employers, we have collected evidence and
submitted many cases for our solicitors to take further legal action.

Stress not recognised by
employers
One in five of the UK workforce says that stress is the single biggest barrier
to improved productivity but only one in 10 bosses believe that stress has a
negative impact on output. Details here
Bullying affects at least
50% of the population
Like abuse, most bullying goes on in secret. Often the target doesn't recognise
they're being bullied until their health is severely damaged and it's too late
to fight back. The profile of the serial bully at
www.successunlimited.co.uk/bully/serial.htm has proved to be
uncannily accurate and most people know at least one person like this. Early
recognition of this individual and their behaviour is essential, so if you have
colleagues, friends, family members or neighbours who you think will benefit
from these occasional e-news updates or from knowing about Bully OnLine just let
me have their email addresses.
